Monochrome printers only print in black and white and are suitable for most homes than only need to print out emails and recipes and rarely need a color function. Samsung makes a nice black and white printed for the home office and it is very fast and out performs most of the competition. Brother makes a small office printer and a personal printer and both are suitable for the needs of most people. The Brother printers are the least expensive if money is a factor.
