If you were in the toy making business, then it’s fairly obvious that you would want to produce a toy which appeals to both girls and boys in equal measure. After all, it doubles the size of your potential market at one fell swoop. However, whilst it may be obvious and perfectly logical, there percentage of toys which manages to achieve this is relatively small. Possibly this is an insight into our societal gender stereotyping - or maybe boys and girls really are different. One of the best examples of a multi-gender toy would be the Zhu Zhu pets which were definitely the hot selling toy during the festive season of 2009.
