    The Benefits of Meditation

    June 24th, 2010 by admin

Among the many benefits of meditation are the health benefits. These are related to the stress-reducing function of meditating. In fact, many doctors have come to believe that most of our illnesses have stress as at least a contributing factor, and so meditation can be a very healthy practice if it reduces stress and anxiety – which it does well when performed properly. In studies regular meditation has been shown to reduce blood pressure, improve sleep, reduce the release of damaging hormones into our systems and much more. Don’t have time to meditate? At least take three deep breaths through your nose and let the tension run out of your body.
